What I consider "nice tech"?

Criteria:

  • Nice colors.
  • Tactile feel.
  • Smooth but with and edge.

If this page makes you think I'm attracted to machines you are not wrong.

Design notes

A computer is an utilitarian device by nature but design is trully everywhere. From stickers to custom frames - a computer can look like anything. I'm particularly fond of computers that have organic, rounded shapes that were popular in the 2000s; the opaque casing is something that we almost lost these days but I always aprecieate being able to see computer guts.

Design notes

Most vintage cars enthusiasts will agree that, while more aerodynamic and safer, modern cars ofter lack style. Personally, I'm kinda opposed to the idea of cars - huge mashinery is cool but I don't like how everywhere cars are these days and how easy it is for someone underqualified to drive one.

A beautiful car to me is a one that marries the organic smoothness with sharpnes of a mashine. I also apreciate customization - showing a real care for the relationship between the driver and the car.

Design notes

At one hand - flip phones aren't as capable of serving the role of tiny personal computer that modern phones do. But at the other - the aesthetics are great. ...and the ability to repair them. The best modern attempt are Samsung flip phones but they've always felt too gimicky to me. But maybe one day. With how quick modern phones break (often by design) - 5-6 years in my case - it won't be long until I have to change mine again.
